Born to fly
Born on March 28, 1995, Killian Peier is a Swiss ski jumper from La Sarraz in the canton of Vaud.
He practiced ski jumping for the first time in 2004 during an initiation organized by Sylvain Freiholz in Le Brassus.
At the age of 16 he decided to leave the family cocoon to move to Einsideln in the national center in order to have the best environment to practice his sport and to follow a commercial training (cfc) at the Minerva school in Zürich.
Four years later, he joined the Swiss army as an elite athlete and was ready to start his professional career.
He won a magnificent bronze medal on the big hill during these World Championships held in Austria.
His best result so far was a second place in Nizhny Taguil WC in Russian.
His best overall WC-Ranking was in the season 2021-2022 with a 16th place.
From 2016 to 2019, Killian has won 4 Swiss championship titles.
The adventure continues for Killian, as he wants to win medals at World Championships and Olympic Games.
He also wants to be able to put his name on the World Cup podium as often as possible.
